I enjoyed seeing so many families at Back to School Night. I am glad you were able to find me in the Library. My air conditioning was off and could not be restarted. Therefore, unfortunately, nobody got to see the amazing job my children did cleaning the desks and decorating with streamers. I decided to leave the streamers up since they were put up with so much love. I appreciate the opportunity to talk to parents when it is not about grades or discipline. Too many times, that is the first time a parent and teacher talk. Please feel free to let me know what is going on in your life that may impact your learning. Is there a new baby keeping you up at night? Are you struggling to understand when I talk to fast? Do you want to stay for study hall, but you don't have a way to get home? Have your parents email me and we can see what can be worked out to keep you successful. *Any student who lets me know you read this by September 1st, will get a Scorpion Ticket.*
Happy School Year! It was nice to see so many smiling faces today. I look forward to all of the wonderful things we will learn this year. Enjoy the rest of your first week of school.
